Connecting Apple Health
Open Qi Hour, go to Body or You and tap Connect Apple Health. Choose what to share. Heart and breath while you sleep, things you log, mood and cycle each have their own switch in Body, Sources. To change what Qi Hour may read later, go to Settings, Apps, Health, Data Access & Devices, Qi Hour.
"No reading for last night"
The night organs need sleep records in Apple Health. An Apple Watch worn to bed, or a sleep app that writes to Apple Health, gives the clearest reading. The iPhone on its own only knows your bedtime schedule, so its readings are rough. If you were up most of the night, the card may ask you, and your answer counts.
Why is an organ darker?
The organ clock gives each organ two hours. When last night or today asked more of an organ in that frame, for example a late bedtime in Gallbladder time, the figure shows it a little darker and slower. Tap "Why this reading" on the card to see what each mark is based on. If one doesn't fit your day, tap "This doesn't feel right" and Qi Hour reads it more gently for 90 days.
Is this medical advice?
No. Qi Hour describes the day in the language of the traditional organ clock. It does not measure your organs and does not diagnose, treat or prevent anything. For any health concern, talk to a doctor.
Widgets
Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Qi Hour. Widgets show the organ of the hour, its tip and what comes next. Your own reading appears on Home Screen widgets only if you turn on "Show my reading on widgets" in You, and never on the Lock Screen.
Reminders and hints
Everything is off until you turn it on in You, Notifications. Hour reminders arrive at the start of the hours you pick; night hours are not offered. A gentle hint comes at most once a day, at the hour it names.
Language
Qi Hour follows your iPhone's language.
